SkyBridge Luxury & Associates is partnering with an ultra-luxury hotel in Los Angeles to find an experienced Accounting Manager .
This individual will oversee the hotel’s financial operations and reporting, ensuring that accounting practices meet corporate standards while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel accounting, including experience managing payroll functions, preparing financial statements, and monitoring budgets.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
- Monitor the hotel’s budget, forecast cash flow, and manage cost controls to support financial targets.
- Manage payroll processing for hotel staff, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws.
- Reconcile payroll accounts, review timesheets, and coordinate with the HR department for any payroll-related matters.
- Prepare tax filings and ensure timely submission of taxes and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Supervise the completion of internal audits and implement audit recommendations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Work closely with department heads to optimize financial performance and identify areas for cost improvement.
- Ensure compliance with hotel and industry financial standards and regulations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality or luxury hotel industry.
- Proficiency in payroll processing and related systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with accounting software, such as Sage, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
- CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with department heads and senior management.
