The primary role of the Marketing Manager is to oversee marketing activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, implementing sales strategies, and managing the marketing team.
This team focuses on crafting marketing messages tailored to specific markets, with an emphasis on driving market adoption.
The ideal candidate will join a small, dedicated team supporting business messaging, a high-priority area for our company.
This role offers the opportunity to drive long-term revenue, which is crucial for our company's success. The individual will work on a relatively new product, bringing it to market and fostering its adoption.
Key Responsibilities :
Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, and coach employees; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions;
plan and review compensation actions; enforce policies and procedures.
- Contribute marketing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans;
- implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends;
determine system improvements; implement changes.
- Prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiate corrective actions.
- Identify consumer requirements; define market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecast projected business;
establish targeted market share.
- Research, identify, and capitalize on market opportunities; improve product packaging; coordinate new product development.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data and trends.
- Complete related results as needed to achieve marketing and organizational goals.
Required Skills :
- 3-4+ years of experience in product marketing
- In-bound research experience
- Ability to present to executive leadership
- Experience working with sales teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and take accountability
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Initiative to drive projects independently
Educational Background :
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism
- Undergraduate degree in Business

Location : Remote (west coast preferred)
Role type : Contract 3 Months Position
