The impact you will have in this role :

We are seeking a talented and expert Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, AI / ML, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Snowflake, Oracle, SQL, and SharePoint (knowledge is a plus), with a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and visualization.

Your Primary Responsibilities :

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models to tackle complex business problems and drive decision-making. This includes tasks such as data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation, using techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning.
  • Design and implement data pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading using Python, Snowflake, and Oracle.

This involves understanding and working with various data sources and formats, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the process.

  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize key metrics and trends. This includes designing visually appealing and informative visualizations for collaborators, utilizing advanced DAX calculations and custom visuals, and optimizing report performance.
  • Apply Power BI's advanced features such as Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power View to handle large datasets efficiently and create dynamic and interactive reports.
  • Build and optimize Power Apps solutions to automate business processes and enhance productivity. This involves understanding user requirements and designing user-friendly interfaces, using Power Apps' capabilities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and deploy workflows and business process automations using Power Automate. This includes automating repetitive tasks, integrating systems, and orchestrating complex workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to see opportunities for leveraging data and analytics to drive business value.

This involves understanding business requirements, conducting data analysis, and translating insights into actionable recommendations and solutions.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. This includes sharing standard processes, providing guidance on technical issues, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Talents needed for Success :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles, with a focus on machine learning and data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven experience in Python programming and machine learning techniques, with a deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.

Experience with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch is highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of different machine learning algorithms and their applications, including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning.
  • Expertise in data visualization and dashboard development using Power BI. Experience with other visualization tools such as Tableau or Qlik is a plus.
  • Proficient in creating complex calculations, measures, and KPIs in Power BI to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Strong proficiency in Power Apps development, including canvas apps, model-driven apps, and custom connectors.
  • Experience in building and deploying workflows and automations using Power Automate.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Oracle database technologies.
  • Advanced skills in SQL programming, with experience in writing complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating technical concepts into business insights and recommendations.
  • SharePoint knowledge is a plus.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
