Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

• Synthesis : Assist in the synthesis of oligonucleotides using automated synthesisers. Follow established protocols and ensure accuracy in reagent preparation and reaction conditions.
• Purification : Perform purification of oligonucleotides using techniques such as FPLC (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography) and HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography).

Monitor purification processes to achieve high-quality results.

• Analysis : Conduct analytical assays to verify the quality and identity of synthesised oligonucleotides using LC-MS.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results. Ensure all documentation is compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lab Maintenance : Contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment. Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
• Collaboration : Work closely with senior chemists and other team members to support ongoing projects. Contribute to problem-solving discussions.

Qualifications

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field with 1-2 years' experience or Master's degree with 0-1 years' experience.
• Skills :

o Basic understanding of organic chemistry and chemical synthesis.

o Familiarity with laboratory techniques and equipment.

o Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.

o Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

o Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and conveying technical information clearly.

o Hands on experience in solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis is a plus.
