Job Summary
Under Direction from maintenance director, the plumbing project lead will run projects for Facilities Services; coordinates the work efforts for a group of subcontractors.
Provides support and customer service for zone maintenance, work order audits, uses electronic work order management systems, to evaluate performance efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Coordinate plumbing maintenance projects to be completed on schedule, monitor work in progress, and inspect completed jobs
- Schedule and administers projects to ensure compliance with job specifications and adherence to unit cost agreements
- Assure subcontractors are following scope of business according the suggested timeline
- Responsible for ensuring workforce compliance with OSHA job safety requirements
- Interacts with University administrators, managers, and other customers across campus to ensure customer satisfaction
- Identifies shortcomings in responsiveness, quality of repairs, and customer communications
- Supports department strategic goals and objectives and ensures overall policies promote the efficient and safe operation of the unit
- Performs related and other departmental duties as required
Required Knowledge and Skills :
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Journeyman Plumber License or other Plumbing certifications preferred - Five years’ experience in plumbing supervision
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, ensuring safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions
