Experienced CNC Machinist
Qualifications
- CNC machinist must have excellent mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment, machine tools, and lathes, used for cutting, turning and milling.
- CNC Turning, 3 axis, 4 axis, 5 axis set-up / operator for mill and lathe machines.
- In addition to having strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, must have good analytical skills and be able to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- And most important, knowledgeable about precision measurement tools such Micrometer, Calipers, Indicator, Height gauges, Drop Indicators, Depth Micrometers.
- Must be familiar with in cycle probing, modern machining tools / techniques. Experience with programming and macros a plus.
Education and Experience :
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in Manufacturing / Technical Programming; or completion of a full apprenticeship program; or successful completion of suitable company training preferred.
- Experience with machining hardened steel components to rockwells up 62Rc and holding extremely tight tolerances.
- At least 5 years of experience as a fully qualified machinist required.
- Experience of SmartCam and / or Esprit software preferred for a Lathe Lead position.
