Basic Function Requirements

Reports to the Global Head of Corporate Real Estate.

L ead the strategic and operational day - to - day management of the AXIS North American offices portfolio to ensure the re is a consistently high standard of care and service delivery for both internal and external customers throughout the real estate lifecycle .

In addition to managing a team of staff integral to strategy implementation and location oversight , the Head of Property Management North America maintains a close working partnership with regional counterparts, local senior management, business line managers, and firm management as required .

This leader also maintains str ong relationships with 3 rd party s uppliers who are engaged for the deliver y of good s and services , repairs and maintenance , workplace and asset management, and overall customer satisfaction .

The Head of Property Management North America oversees all aspects of site(s) management which at a minimum include s lease administration, transaction management, project management, workplace and facilities services delivery for all North America AXIS locations.

In addition, driving a data culture and focus on managing portfolio cost of ownership, vendor performance , and all aspects of workplace optimization to ensure effective use of our workplace and operational spend is expected at a minimum .

Develop ing a nd implement ing Property Management strategies that support corporate core values and objectives with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation is expected .

The leader ensures that business guidelines and compliance requirements are always adhered to and that the portfolio is managed in accordance with commercial whole life cost principles .

A focus on continuous improvement and innovation is to be at the forefront of our thinking and approach.

Travel within the region may be required from time-to-time to support Property Management activities.

Principal Responsibilities and Dutie s

Responsible for all Property Management functional areas and serves as a point of escalation for all Property Management issues to internal b usiness u nits, ensuring effective control, optimized workplace management, and quality service delivery to AXIS's portfolio , and end user clients.

Spearhead the commercial and operational activities of the Property Management function while leading the team to execute on short- and long-term strategic initiatives.

S trong commercial and financial acumen resulting in comprehensive capital and operational budgeting , diligent expense management , and reporting on same.

Manage a team of directly employed staff, oversee staff training and development , coach and mentor staff to develop and realize their full potential while also facilitating succession planning.

Ensure that the team's goals and all agreed performance management metrics are satisfied or exceeded.

Commitment to facilitating the team, with its execution of remit and responsibilities, to meet AXIS's business needs with the aim of providing a first-class employee and guest experience.

Build a team culture focus on the use of technology and data to identify opportunities, support recommendations and optimize outcomes and end user experience.

Ensure that asset management, preventative maintenance, and utilities management activities are managed with appropriate controls and utilized to assure quality and performance outcomes, and optimize cost.

Lead transformational change of program implementations with a focus on seamless execution and risk mitigation to the enterprise.

Manage 3 rd party supplier relationships in an effective manner, ensuring compliance with AXIS's vendor management program and risk mitigation efforts with diligence to always protect the firm.

Oversee the delivery of a n effective health & safety program to ensure full compliance with the relevant laws and regulations.

Support the w orkplace d esign evolution by providing ongoing support , client, and operational feedback to ensure a deliver y that improv es the employee experience.

Administration - Finance, Risk Mitigation , Supplier and Contract Management

Overall management and coordination amongst the various functional teams within the Property Management service delivery.

Focus on the cost of ownership and end-to-end management of the AXIS occupied real estate portfolio.

Utilize data to identify improvement opportunities , matters requiring resolution , and recommendations to support changes within the workplace environment.

Manage and control all aspects of capital and operational planning, budgeting, and expense management for AXIS's real estate portfolio.

Mitigate the f irm's exposure to business risk by continuously reviewing operational and maintenance procedures to eliminate single points of failure and the adequacy of business continuity plans.

Landlord and lease management experience to assure a working relationship that assures landlord delivery of obligations, and equitable outcomes for AXIS Capital.

Conduct client feedback meetings, noting any concerns raised and addressing them as appropriate .

Undertake benchmarking comparisons, establish metrics, and provide leadership and a plan to realize "best in class" workplace and services delivery to the AXIS enterprise.

Audit operational delivery by using appropriate SLA and KPI performance criteria and measurements to assure customer satisfaction and a focus on continuous improvement.

Drive a commitment to standards that achieve a consistent delivery of service and end user experience within the office portfolio.

Track and report compliance with AXIS standards and requirements as required .

Ownership and focus on fire and life safety measures , demand and consumables management , and sustainability for all managed and operated sites.

Skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and client management skills.

Qualifications

Qualified to degree standard or higher in a Corporate Real Estate , Project Management , Finance and / or Facilities Management Services discipline with at least 15 years' experience of Property Management.

Deep financial planning, operational workplace and services delivery , and reporting experience with a proven ability to optimize cost and achieve value for spend and investment.

Demonstrated roles in holistic real estate portfolio services delivery and vendor management, particularly in relationship to managing performance-based contract(s) and developing strategic alliances / partnership with workplace services suppliers .

Technology literate : Microsoft Suite ( Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Lease Administration tools, Financial Reporting tools, and workplace service delivery and facilities management technologies .

Experience in developing high performing teams; coaching and mentoring, implementing professional development programs , and the training of personnel.

What we offer :

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $ 170,000 - 200,000 . Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.

In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation , with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.

Where this role is based in the United States of America, this role is Exempt for FLSA purposes.
