We are seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join our team in Somerset, New Jersey. The role is based in the Health Pharm / Biotech industry.
The position offers a long term contract employment opportunity and is based on-site for three days a week.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the team in the preparation and filing of all external financial reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with IFRS, SEC, and SOX regulations.
- Manage and document technical accounting research for complex transactions such as equity compensation, lease accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, including legal, HR, and operations, to collect and analyze financial data.
- Liaise with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Provide training and guidance to the finance team on accounting policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging accounting standards and SEC regulations, assessing their impact on the company.
- Assist the Director of External Reporting and Technical Accounting in special projects and initiatives.
- Utilize skills in SAP S / 4HANA, Workiva, and OneStream to perform job functions efficiently.
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA are preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the Health Pharm / Biotech industry is essential.
- Deep understanding of GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.
- Proficiency in technical accounting areas such as consolidations, financial reporting, stock compensation, and revenue recognition.
- Demonstrated experience with financial software applications is necessary. Proficiency in SAP S / 4HANA, Workiva, and OneStream is particularly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial for interpreting complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are required for reporting financial information to non-financial audiences.
- Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of work.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity to ensure all financial data is accurate and compliant with regulations.
- Must be adaptable to change and comfortable with working in fast-paced environments.
