About The Position
Job Title : Cath Lab Tech Job Specialty : Radiology / Cardiology Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day - 5x8 - 07AM - 03PM - 40 Hours Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Preferred 2 years of experience as an allied health professional License : Registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice and registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA)- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire Must-Have : - Willingness to work either Christmas or Thanksgiving and New Year's- Comfortable with night and weekend on-call shifts (9-11 on-call shifts per month) Job Description : Assist the team in patient setup and preparation before procedures, as well as take down and clean up post-procedure, using safe patient transfer and positioning techniques.
- Document procedures and interventions to ensure accurate billing and charge capture.- Operate radiographic fluoroscopy equipment to obtain diagnostic images of coronary artery and peripheral vascular diseases.
- Conduct hemodynamic monitoring of patients during procedures, reporting values to the performing physician.- Monitor and manage the delivery of radiation doses to patients for safe delivery with minimal exposure to staff.
- Transmit, archive, and retrieve digital images in picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).- Perform quality control standards using optimal diagnostic imaging and conducting regular maintenance of fluoroscopy equipment.
- Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, method of introduction, adapting explanations of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions, and communication style.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
