Proven track record in complex negotiations and managing both direct and indirect categories. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills. Experience with procurement systems (SAP, Jagger) and analytics tools (PowerBI). Knowledge of FDA / EMA regulations and operating in GMP / GxP environments. Professional certifications (CPSM, CIPS) a plus.
Job Title : Strategic Sourcing Manager
Position Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead procurement initiatives across both direct and indirect categories in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industry. This role will drive value through supplier partnerships, cost optimization, and strategic stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead sourcing initiatives across direct (APIs, packaging) and indirect (lab supplies, transportation, fleet) categories.
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business goals and compliance requirements.
- Drive complex supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, mitigate risk, and ensure service excellence.
- Manage contract lifecycle activities, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations (GMP / GxP).
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Technical Ops) to align sourcing strategies.
- Monitor supplier performance, track KPIs, and deliver measurable cost savings.
- Use data analytics, benchmarking, and market intelligence to guide decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
