We are working to deliver on various initiatives to implement and modernize business applications in the areas of Human Resources and Finance in support of the operations of the Laboratory.

An experienced Project Manager is required to successfully lead these efforts through completion, driving complex cross-functional projects, leading the collection of business and systems requirements from stakeholders, and working closely with business partners and Agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Digital Project Manager, you are involved in leading strategic initiatives for the laboratory by defining deliverables and timelines, coordinating across business functions, managing budgets and risks, and ensuring timely delivery.

You are responsible for the overall direction, orchestration, implementation, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments, and goals.

The Senior Digital Project Manager takes a holistic project approach by collaborating with users, business, and technology partners to design, develop, and deliver with a focus on user experience.

You will develop an understanding of complex business functions in a well-managed, compliance-based environment while balancing simplified user experience to meet the needs of our scientific discovery mission.

The chosen candidate will possess a strong project management and Agile background, demonstrated experience leading large, complex projects, and a well-rounded background in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and software development projects.

Key Responsibilities :

Independently manage mid-sized and large projects that have increasing levels of complexity, including cross- functional engagement, technical challenges, diverse stakeholder groups, significant user impact, medium to high risk, and / or strategic business impact.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of effective project management practices and principles and demonstrate proficiency in applying a disciplined Agile approach to project management.

Apply PMO project management Toolkit practices and expectations to orchestrate outcomes that meet high laboratory standards for integrated systems and solutions.

Guide teams towards strategic solutions by partnering with Digital Platform Managers to understand strategic business and technical outcomes roadmaps.

Collaborate with the Change Management organization to define the methods and techniques for implementation to ensure effective change across initiatives.

Engage with laboratory staff and leadership for continual feedback to improve processes and support the long-term health and sustainability of the implemented solutions.

Drive and influence Agile methodology and practices with technical and business partner teams.

Lead by example to motivate project team members and mentor junior level team members.

Manage with integrity to lead project plan development, build cohesive teams, surface and address issues, and champion continuous improvement.

Demonstrate effective communication and presentation skills, efficient management of multiple initiatives simultaneously, and successful collaboration with both internal and external project stakeholders.

Drive and track interdependencies across work streams, communicate status and assist with maintaining team metrics.

Develop work estimates and resource allocations using Agile techniques.

Effectively assess and mitigate project risks, opportunities, and develop contingency plans.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks and provide escalation management.

Provide project updates, milestones, and challenges to senior executive leadership.Manage sensitive business situations and influence positive outcomes.

Manage projects budget, monitor progress, and evaluate project performance.

Required Skills :

Proven track record managing multiple complex projects, preferably involving ERP business transformation to meet stated business goals, budgets, and objectives.

Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, presentation, and communication skills to be able to communicate with stakeholders of different levels.

Extensive experience in leadership and management oversight on large and / or highly complex projects with high impact and visibility.

Ability to facilitate negotiations between stakeholders and sponsors around scope and priority.

Strong customer focus with ability to interpret and analyze customer requirements.

Knowledge and experience with Agile practices.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

BS / BA and 9+ years of relevant project management experience -OR-

MS / MA or higher and 7+ years of relevant project management experience

Preferred Qualifications :

Minimum 5 years of experience implementing software using Agile methodologies, including managing complex projects in a high-tech development environment.

Minimum 5 years of experience working with software development life cycle models, and Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.

Holds a current Agile certification : PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent.

Experience with Human-Centered Design and / or Design Thinking

Proven record of multiple successful ERP implementations.
