The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, energetic individual to serve as Springfield Administrative Facilities Manager.

Position Overview
Under direction, this position will be a working manager, traveling to various facilities to coordinate building requirements and oversee property moves within and between sites.
The position will investigate complaints regarding environment and Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Standards and evaluate and resolve such complaints.

Essential Functions
- Serves as Springfield Administrative Facilities Manager
- Serves as working supervisor
- Works closely with the Agency’s Security System’s Coordinator to ensure the region’s compliance with Agency safety standards
- Provides input into the evaluation and implementation of the Agency’s goals for meeting and maintaining Council on Accreditation standards which are specifically related to the management of facilities, equipment, and record keeping
- Organizes goals and objectives for the distribution / delivery of internal and inter-office mail delivery for the Springfield Administrative offices
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration
- Requires one year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program

- Requires ability to travel, possession of a valid driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and access to an operating vehicle
