A Week in the Life of an on-site Network Engineer III :
- Configure and troubleshoot Enterprise-level Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) to protect data and control access to the US Government customer's classified network.
- Install and configure Cisco router and switches.
- Troubleshoot Cisco routing / switching, VMware, and VPN issues.
- Coordinate on-site with remote users to install / configure equipment and troubleshoot remote Network layer 2 and layer 3 issues. .
- Propose enhancements to improve performance and reduce costs of maintaining a compliant network.
- Interface with senior management and their vendors' technical personnel.
- Allowed to work independently or semi-independently with minimum guidance or direction.
Job Requirements
- TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelors Degree (highly desired)
- US Citizenship is required
- Minimum of 7 years of networking experience
- Experience with Cisco ISE configuration and troubleshooting, Cisco router, switches, and firewalls
- Experience troubleshooting Network layer 2 and layer 3
- Candidates with CCNP, CCIE, and / or a Bachelors Degree will be given preferential consideration.
NOTE : This is an onsite position based in Dallas, TX, with no telework possibilities.
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners . The salary / hourly range for this position is $130,000- $140,000 .
Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
