Spherion Staffing is looking for experienced drivers in Indiana! As a member of the Driver Team, the Driver plays a key role in assisting our members with accessibility to the care they need, always in conformity with established client's policies and procedures.

$2500 SIGN-ON Bonus

$1000 payable after 90 days and $1500 after 6 months, if no at-fault accidents.

New Hires cannot miss any scheduled workdays within the first 90 days of their employment to qualify for the hiring bonus.

This includes requested days off as well.

Pay : $15.5 / hr with potential increase after 90 days. Night differential pay available.

Schedule : Monday-Friday 8am / 9am - 6pm / 7pm (also have availability on Sat or Sun if needed)

Responsibilities :

  • Transport members to and from pre-determined destinations as required.
  • Proactively review assigned trips on a tablet or other backup mechanism in order to plan daily schedule and ensure members can be transported to and from destinations on time according to appointment schedule per contractual requirements.
  • Accurately complete and return daily driver logs and any other requested forms or miscellaneous paperwork in a timely manner as required.

Accurately record hours via a remote time clock.

  • Maintain appropriate, effective, and efficient communication with direct supervisor, dispatch staff, mechanic, and other management / staff in order to update and / or escalate issues as necessary.
  • Ensure daily vehicle checklist is completed. Communicate any mechanical issues to the supervisor and mechanic.
  • Schedule vehicle preventative and regular maintenance with mechanic according to company mileage requirement schedule.

Immediately communicate any abnormal mechanical issues that arise to the supervisor and mechanic.

  • Appropriately interact with all internal staff and external contacts.
  • Maintain a level of professionalism with members according to company standards. This includes being courteous, displaying a positive attitude, communicating professionally, and maintaining professional attire.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Have and maintain a driving record with no DUIs, OWIs, no points, no suspensions, or any other negative results not listed.
  • Ability to utilize transportation technology solutions.
  • Working knowledge of cell phones, computer hardware, and software
