Pay, Benefits and Perks of Wound Nurse (RN or LPN) :

• $8,000 sign-on bonus for full-time LPN candidates!
• $12,000 sign-on bonus for full-time RN candidates!

Essential Functions of Wound Nurse (RN or LPN) :

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Provide personal care to residents in a manner conductive to their safety and comfort consistent with Company Clinical Policies and Procedures as well as state / federal guidelines andregulations.
• Assesses, treats, and cares for patients with wounds such as pressure ulcers, ostomies, skin breakdowns or other wounds.

Treatment tasks include wound debridement, cleaning, bandaging, and working with the care team to determine if other treatments are necessary or creating a plan to boost healing opportunity or preventing wound re-emergence.

• Assess residents on admission anddocument appropriately as condition changes.
• Ability to adequately assess and reassess residents’ pain, utilize appropriate pain management techniques, and education resident and family on painmanagement.
• Interpret test results and take appropriate action onresults.
• Promote and support the greatest possible degree of independence forresidents.
• Advise oncoming staff of resident’s status at beginning and end of shifts and properly documenting.
• Contribute knowledge of residents’ conditions and document observations asrequired.
• Promote a safe and clean hazard-free environment for residents, family members, and staffmembers
• Assure equipment is clean and functional. Report any malfunctions tosupervisor.
• Ability to function as a team leader and rolemode
• Abide by the Company Clinical policies and procedures for AbusePrevention.
• Notify physician of changes in resident’s condition and follow through until appropriate action istaken.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicianorders.
• Follow through, as needed, on information given by shift report, resident orfamily regarding residentconcerns.
• Implement plan of care for the resident based on assessments and goals asestablished by the interdisciplinary careteam.
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergencysituations.
• Perform other task and duties asassigned.

Qualifications of Wound Nurse (RN or LPN) :

• WOCN certification in good standing
• Current LPN or RN Missouri issued license is required
• 1 year of nursing experience in a long-term care facility is preferred
• Infection control experience is preferred
• Candidates must maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to communicate clearly

• Valid CPRCertification
