100% Remote - $90k

An EdTech company is seeking a remote Systems Administrator II. Utilize your skills in system and infrastructure management to troubleshoot, optimize tools, automate tasks, and participate in on-call support.

Responsibilities :

• Lead system upgrades and enhancements.
• Optimize monitoring tools for proactive issue resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams on application environments.
• Develop automation scripts to improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Document procedures and mentor junior team members.
• Assist in capacity planning and technology evaluation.
• Participate in on-call rotations for incident response.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of systems administration experience.
• Proficiency in Linux and / or Windows server administration.
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Scripting proficiency (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred.
• Strong understanding of network security principles.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a team environment.
