JOBSUMMARY

This is a financeposition responsible for checking in drivers who have completedtheir routes by performing product counts, compiling andmaintaining records of quantity, type, and value of the material,equipment, merchandise.

Also responsible for inspecting allproducts returns and documenting appropriate information forefficient processing ofitems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Check-indrivers who have completed their routes by verifying productreturned, customers signed the invoice and possible misseddeliveries;

account for pallets, totes and other company propertyis returned.

• Identify missed collections andnotify Credit Services.
• Ensure food safetyprotocols were followed on the return and coordinate with FoodSafety personnel for issues.
• Assure alldelivery exceptions are noted on the invoice and / or deliveryexception report.
• Inspect returned products todetermine restocking appropriateness or deciding if the customerwarrants the credit.
• Decide and adjust asneeded the appropriate reason code on invoice to provide efficientprocessing; code damaged or inferior products with the appropriatedamage code and write the code on the damagedcase.
• Separate and stage for return processingall products, and count the returned items to ensure quantitiesmatch the quantity written on the return sheet andinvoices.
• List overage on the return sheetfollowing the "available stock / warehouse location" report tore-enter the product into the inventory system as soon aspossible.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Highschool degree orequivalent.

• Ability to writeroutine reports and correspondence.
• Speakeffectively before groups of customers or associates of anorganization.
• Must have exemplary listeningskills to facilitate effective two- waycommunication.
• Can add, subtract, multiply, anddivide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, commonfractions, and decimals.
• Solid problem-solvingskills.
• Strong verbal and written communicationskills.
• Must be able to read, write and speakEnglish.
