Your Role

We are hiring a Project Engineer / Manager to lead and coordinate activities related to a variety of projects within the pharmaceuticals and / or medical device manufacturing industry.

The ideal candidate will possess a technical background in engineering, validation processes, quality, and project management, coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The Project Engineer / Project Manager will :

  • Lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones.
  • Provide specific directions to project teams through written and verbal communication in order to execute work in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conceptualize solutions, define budgetary needs / scope, gain approval for funding, forecast spending, and accrue financials.
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks. Develop mitigation plans and contingency strategies to address potential issues.
  • Uphold project standards by ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Track project performance and analyze the completion of key goals.
  • Document and report project progress to stakeholders.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to cross-functional teams overall.
  • Provide expert-level project management for floating plant projects of high dollar value, of high complexity of extraordinary urgency, or having similar requirements.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.

Requirements

At PSC Biotech, many of our projects and clients are in various regions around the country. Therefore, we value candidates who are willing and able to travel as needed for project assignments and client engagements.

The ability to adapt to various locations, cultures, and work environments is essential, as it allows our team members to collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues nationally.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science, technology or engineering discipline.
  • 5 years or more of experience in commissioning and qualifying pharmaceutical and / or medical device manufacturing facilities and equipment or in a GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with project management or engineering is preferred.
  • PMP certification or Project Management Certification is highly preferred.
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Access skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Problem solving and analytics aptitude.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Estimated annual salary (dependent on experience) $100,000 - $120,000

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline. 7 years or more of experience executing commissioning, qualification, and validation for a range of equipment within the pharmaceutical and / or medical device industries.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements (cGMP, FDA, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills. Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot effectively.

Strong time management and organizational abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
