JOB OVERVIEW

  • Job Title : Physician Urology (Urohospitalist)
  • Job Type : Permanent Full-Time
  • Location : Carrollton, GA
  • Service Setting : Inpatient and Outpatient (Hospital and Clinic)
  • Schedule : 7 days on / 7 days off
  • On-Call Expectations : ER coverage and rotational call shared within the group PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE
  • Patient Demographics : Adults
  • Average Daily Volume / Census : Inpatient rounding at two hospitals; urgent clinic care 23 hours daily
  • Admissions & Rounding : Included at both Tanner Medical Center Carrollton and Tanner Medical Center Villa Rica
  • Consults & Follow-Ups : Yes
  • Case Mix / Clinical Focus Areas : General urology, urgent urology care, surgical procedures, robotics FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS
  • Beds in Department / Unit : Not specified (Urology inpatient and surgical coverage across two facilities)
  • EMR System : Epic with Abridge AI medical scribe assistant
  • Specialty Backup : daVinci 5 robotic surgery system available at Carrollton
  • Support Staff : Dedicated urology group with hospital-employed structure
  • Leadership & Reporting Structure : Reports to Medical Director of West GA Urology and hospital administration
  • Reason for Opening : Expansion urgent need for additional urohospitalists CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE

Requirements : BC / BE in Urology

  • DEA & Certifications : Active DEA, BLS / ACLS as required
  • Credentialing Timeline : 6090 days COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide inpatient rounding and urology call coverage across Tanner Medical Center Carrollton and Tanner Medical Center Villa Rica
  • Deliver urgent urology clinic care in Carrollton office (23 hours daily)
  • Perform urological surgeries, including robotic-assisted procedures using daVinci 5 system
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team including surgeons, hospitalists, and advanced practice providers
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital programs
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR with support from AI medical scribe assistant COMMUNITY & LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS
