Position Description : We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting business analyses and studies, needs assessments, requirements analysis / definition, and cost / benefit analyses to align business systems, solutions, and initiatives.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct business analyses and studies, needs assessments, requirements analysis / definition, and cost / benefit analyses to align business systems, solutions, and initiatives.
• Prepare forecasts and analyze trends, reporting regulations, and business conditions.
• Develop and analyze metrics, performance measurements, requirements, reports, and recommendations related to management, organizational structure, policy / procedures, and business systems.
• Identify potential business risks.

Required :

• Active SECRET clearance.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field.
• Experience with modeling, simulation, and computation methods; a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in a non-STEM field may be substituted for a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field.
• Alternate education / experience accepted : Associates + 3 years, or High School + 5 years.
• 1 year of relevant professional experience in business analysis is a plus.
• Pro-active approach to problem solving and assigned tasks.
• Willingness and ability to learn and apply new methods as required by the particular analysis.
• Comfortable working with a number of object-oriented programming languages and environments, such as Python, Java, C++, C#, R, MATLAB, Simulink.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in data analysis and modeling.

Desired :

• A Master of Science degree in a STEM field is highly preferred.
• Experience applying a variety of analytical and computational methods, including Classical and modern statistics, Differential equations, Linear algebra.
• Experience using a variety of modeling and simulation methods, including Discrete event simulation, Agent-based modeling, Network simulations, Physics-based modeling, Markov decision processes, Hidden Markov models, Stochastic processes, Monte Carlo and bootstrap methods.
