Tombras, a 400+ person, full-service, national advertising agency with a digital mindset, is seeking a Media Strategy Supervisor.

Where you’ll be working :  Knoxville or Atlanta. Relocation assistance may be provided.

The Media Strategy Supervisor is a central facet within the Media Strategy team. Working under the guidance of the AMD, the supervisor will be a client-facing leader responsible for driving cross-channel media strategy, day-to-day stewardship, and team development. They will construct the strategic foundation for media plan development and ensures consistency across all channels. As a key agency contact, they maintain strong relationships with clients, partner agencies, media vendors and internal departments. The Supervisor applies their knowledge of industry trends and Tombras’s consumer / channel insight resources to offer the clients fresh thinking. This individual supervises all team projects, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time and reflect both strategic thinking and business outcomes. As an experienced mentor, the Supervisor is responsible for managing growth and development of junior team members.

What you will be doing :

  • Primary focus on Strategic Planning / Stewardship (75%), with a strong emphasis on Client Relations (25%).
  • Assist the AMD in setting overall strategic direction for digital and traditional media campaigns and determining which metrics will be used to track campaign success.
  • Lead a planning team to support campaign creation and oversight.
  • Integrate digital and traditional media campaign recommendations in a seamless way that marries the various disciplines into one cohesive strategy that meets client goals.
  • Collaborate with Channel leads (Social, Search, Programmatic, etc.) to ensure tactical recommendations ladder up to strategic objectives.
  • Oversee media flowcharts, buy authorizations, and campaign documentation.
  • Work hand-in-hand with our Channel and Analytics team to ensure proper tracking of campaigns.
  • Monitors pre and post launch Quality Assurance checks and balances through communication and collaboration with Channel teams
  • Translate reporting into clear, actionable insights to optimize performance and inform future
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of media planners and associates, fostering growth and ensuring flawless execution across campaigns.

What you bring :

  • 7+ years of agency experience in media strategy and planning
  • Client relationship management experience
  • Experience developing and presenting plan presentations and critical thinking to provide rationale
  • Solid understanding of media math, terminology and experience in relevant planning tools including MRI, Scarborough, NMI, Market Mate, AdIntel, etc.
  • Accountable for meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
