Plymouth Tube is looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious team member to lead our Marketing Department. This person must love change, be self-motivated and inspire others inside and outside the department.
This individual should be able to communicate directly and openly with all levels in our organization. There will be many opportunities for the successful candidate to engage their innovative and creative problem-solving skills to help move the department to the next level.
It is a must that the Director of Marketing has a high degree of personal integrity in dealing with superiors, subordinates and co-workers and will represent Plymouth Tube Company in a professional manner.

YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR :
As Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing all operations within Plymouth's marketing function.
You will assess potential new markets, evaluate business opportunities, and develop strategies for targeting potential markets and customers.
You will be responsible for pricing and driving the growth and profitability of our product lines while maintaining our position as a market leader.
You will build, manage and coach a high-performing team and regularly report on marketing strategies, activities, budget and campaign KPIs while managing the marketing budget and allocating resources based on priorities.
A successful Marketing Director at Plymouth will be collaborative in nature with a proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
This leader will regularly interact with Plymouth's Executive Team to ensure marketing efforts are in sync with the company's mission and vision.
This pivotal role combines strategic thinking, analytical abilities, and effective leadership to develop and execute strategies that address customer needs and align with company objectives for profitable growth.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :
Brand Integrity
Maintain brand standard company-wide and across all marketing and communications channels
Communications
- Comply with laws and regulations governing marketing efforts (SPAM, GDPR, private customer information)
- Ensure all external communications contain clear, actionable messaging
- Collaborate with Corporate Human Resources and the Executive Team on internal communications
Competitive Positioning
- Identify competitors and evaluate their strategies and positioning; devise counter-strategies
- Develop strategies to win market share from competitors
Customer Experience
- Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales teams to support highly responsive customer interactions
- Ensure consistent execution of the Plymouth Experience
- Identify and connect market trends proactively back into the business through VOC, providing thought leadership to ensure customer, market and product strategy relevancy
Demand Generation
- Oversee demand generation and lead management efforts
- Strategize effective marketing campaigns; ensure that branding and messaging target ideal customers
- Provide marketing qualified leads to the sales team
Differentiation & Value Creation
- Develop product differentiators; define and clarify insights that translate into winning value propositions
- Identify and plan differentiated and impactful marketing strategies and materials
Marketing Technology
Evaluate, select, implement and oversee marketing technology (forecasting and pricing tools, content creation, SEO, marketing campaigns, social media, CRM administration)
Pricing
- Set pricing strategies for products based on market analysis, cost structures, and competitive landscape to achieve optimal market positioning and financial results
- Refine and improve pricing policies and tools
- Develop, acquire and deploy toolsets to drive expedient data-driven pricing decisions
Product & Market Development
- Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies that maximize growth opportunities, customer value, and profitability in alignment with company goals
- Conduct market research to determine addressable and available market size
- Identify new market segments and market trends that will benefit from company products
- Collaborate with Innovation, Engineering and Operations to ensure the successful development and launch of new products, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer requirements.
- Create and execute Go-To-Market strategies
Promotion
- Direct content creation efforts to produce engaging, high-quality materials that resonate with target audiences and support sales efforts.
- Oversee content production for the company's digital marketing initiatives
- Produce ideas for promotional events or activities and organize them efficiently
Sales & Data Analytics
- Optimize monthly Sales and Marketing reporting (Strategy Deployment) and opportunity pipeline reporting (CRM)
- Oversee forecast process and tools which establish the demand input of Plymouth's S&OE process
- Direct and support market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports
Strategic Vision
- Participate as a key member on Plymouth's Strategy Team, often participating as a leader of sub-teams
- Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Current : Marketing Technology Manager, Customer Service Manager
- Future : Applications Engineer, Product Manager(s)
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED :
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related discipline; MBA preferred, but not required
- 5+ years proven experience as a Marketing Director; will consider candidates with experience in Marketing or Product management roles
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication, leadership and project management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Occasional travel to customers, prospects, manufacturing facilities and industry events
- Proven experience with pricing strategies, market analysis, and product lifecycle management
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo preferred),?CRM systems (Dynamics preferred),?and web analytics tools
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategically and drive performance
Language Skills :
Effective verbal and written communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Travel Requirement :
Approximately 15% travel to US locations
