Position summary

Engineering team follows Agile and Lean principles, architects, design and develop solutions for challenging problems using latest tools and technologies and delivers high quality deliverables using continuous integration.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced full stack Java engineer to join our team to implement next generation of features for the application as well as support existing platform.

As a full stack engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining robust and scalable software solutions in a highly dynamic and collaborative work environment.

Duties & accountabilities

We’re looking for a strong and dynamic technical individual to develop and support a highly scalable platform. Hands-on experience is a must.

• Collaborate and share technical and business knowledge to members of the development team and wider organisation.
• Apply strong technical skills and good business knowledge together with investigative techniques and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Should be able to work directly with Business Analyst, Operations team and DevOps team to understand and resolve issue
• Work with other engineering streams like QA, DBA’s and DevOps to enhance quality metrics
• Design and Develop high quality deliverables using continuous integration following Agile and Lean
• Focus on ensuring Quality Gate Metrics are met as part of code development

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology and has a passion for high quality of deliverables.

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years’ experience in Java, J2EE development, working on multi-tiered distributed systems using Java, J2EE platform
• Significant hands-on experience in advanced Java 11+features, including Multi-Threading, Concurrency, Serialization, Cloning, Annotations
• Strong experience in relational Databases like Oracle, designing normalized or de-normalized databases, writing SQL queries & stored procedures and analyzing & fixing performance issues.
• Experience in Spring Integration framework, JSON web services, Spring Batch, Spring REST, Spring framework, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka is a plus
• Basic knowledge of Unix commands is a must.
• Proficient in OOPS, Design Patterns and Data Structures.
• Knowledge of Test Driven Development and ability to write unit tests leveraging frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito etc.
• Experience with build & release tools like Maven and Continuous Integration like Gitlab or Github
• Knowledge of Agile development methodology
• Knowledge of developing web applications with Angular12+ and RESTful Web services

Commercial awareness

Knowledge of Corporate Actions business is a huge plus. Knowledge of financial markets or financial feeds would be very useful

Management requirements

Strong interpersonal skills are required. Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
