Essential Duties and responsibilities :

PLC Programmer / Automation Controls

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and document complete control programs for custom automation equipment.
• Programming of control systems using PLCs, stepper / servo drives, pneumatics and other more specialized controllers is a requirement.
• Must be able to program Panasonic and Allen-Bradley brand PLC’s and controllers
• Skilled in troubleshooting of electrical controls and mechanical mechanisms.
• Need for good organization skills as wells as self-discipline and works with minimal supervision.
• Produce designs, programs and documentation within schedule requirements and in support of the control program(s)
• Utilize previously implemented standard products, designs and software modules wherever practical
• Travel to customer’s facilities to participate in equipment programming, installation and perform operation training.
• Create Electrical and Controls Drawing sets.
• Help to create manuals for customer use

• Strong Electrical and Controls background with working knowledge of Controls Circuits, Power Distribution, Control Power, Communication Networks, PLC’s, and VFD’s.
• Working knowledge and experience with pneumatically actuated equipment
• The ability to work in a team environment and drive successes amongst the larger group.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, vendors, and other employees of the organization
• Design / Drafting skills are preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• The ability to clearly document test results, configuration parameters, process and training materials
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Visio.

The applicant will also be involved with machine wiring / assembly / testing and debugging.

Qualifications :

• 5+ Years PLC programming experience preferred using Panasonic and Rockwell / Allen Bradley. Knowledge of other platforms is a plus.
• AutoCAD experience is a plus, or similar systems to AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have a valid Driver’s license

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
