Arizona Autism is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in clinical and home health environments.

Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location : Clinic and in-home setting available

Position Type : 1099 Contractor for Full-time / Part-time / Per Diem Hours

Key Responsibilities :

In-Clinic Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing functions
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational / physical therapists, school professionals, and ABA staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Educate patients and families about communication strategies and therapy exercises
  • Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Stay current with best practices and evidence-based techniques in speech-language pathology

Home Health Responsibilities :

  • Perform in-home evaluations to assess the patient’s communication and swallowing needs in their natural environment
  • Design and implement tailored therapy programs that accommodate the patient’s home setting and functional routines
  • Provide education and training to family members and caregivers on communication techniques and strategies to support the patient
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed
  • Advocate for necessary modifications and equipment to enhance communication and safety at home
  • Build rapport with patients and families to encourage engagement in the therapeutic process

Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
  • Experience in a pediatric clinical and / or home health setting is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems

  • Ability to lift and assist patients as needed
  • Capacity to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods
