About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Medicine Specialty Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12 hours, 3 shifts per week Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 1 year required License : Current RN License (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License) Certifications : Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have : - Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program- Proficiency in English (Read, Write, Speak) Job Description : Provide nursing care in a hospital setting catering to a variety of patients with both simple and complex health problems.
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, ensuring comprehensive care.- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments;
note changes in physician orders.- Assist physicians in examinations and perform minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe changes, and intervene when necessary.- Administer prescribed medications and manage intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Deliver competent patient care with a focus on quality.- Engage with patients and their families to share care plans during hospital stays and at discharge.
- Inform patients and families about hospital procedures and policies.- Make appropriate referrals regarding patient care needs.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to support staff.- Perform additional duties as assigned. Skills Required : Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to work effectively with diverse cultural and language needs.- Basic computer skills.
