Summary :
The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinicalsetting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness ofall relevant aspects of a situation.
Provides routine and complexcare, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continuesto develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies ofclinical nursing.
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates toother care providers as a means to help manage the clinicalsituation.
Responsibilities :
- Meets expectations ofthe applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies : Leader of Self, Leader ofOthers, or Leader of Leaders.
- Consistent withthe ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing careutilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis,planning, intervention and evaluation for assignedpatients.
- Addresses increasingly complexpsychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient andfamilies in accordance with their level ofpractice.
- Using the appropriate protocol,administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effectsand effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and caregiven.
- Assess learning needs and provideseducation to patients, family members and / or care givers; identifyissues and resources.
