Position Summary :
The HSE Manager for Rolfson plays a hands-on, field-focused role in building and maintaining a strong safety culture across our operations. This role is critical in ensuring that all employeesfrom drivers to field techniciansadhere to safety protocols, wear required PPE, and return home safely each day. The HSE Manager works closely with operations, human resources, and our customers to support safety initiatives, provide on-site training, and monitor compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct regular field visits to job sites, ensuring proper PPE use and that safety protocols are followedCollaborate with management to develop and implement company-specific safety policies and proceduresMonitor compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate reporting and documentationLead and participate in job site inspections, hazard assessments, and auditsInitiate immediate corrective actions and stop unsafe activities when necessaryInvestigate and document workplace incidents, injuries, near-misses, and property damage, and drive follow-up corrective actionsProvide training and mentoring to field and office staff on safety procedures and expectationsManage customer-specific safety protocols and reporting, especially for EPC projects and contractor compliance systems (e.g., ISNetworld)Maintain and monitor PPE inventory and ensure field personnel have access to appropriate gearParticipate in the rotating on-call schedule for after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverageCommunicate safety metrics, trends, and improvement plans with internal stakeholders and external clientsStay current on industry best practices and complete professional development as requiredRequired Skills and Qualifications :
Extensive working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety standardsExperience using contractor management platforms (ISNetworld or similar)Familiarity with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects is a plusStrong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to conduct safety meetings, tailgates, and formal training sessionsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and report writingStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to pass drug test and background (criminal and MVR) checksWillingness to travel frequently to active job sitesEducation and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or related field; equivalent experience may be consideredMinimum 5 years of safety leadership in an industrial, energy, or oilfield environmentPhysical Requirements :
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and navigate rugged field locationsMust be able to sit at a computer as needed for reporting / communicationMust be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion
