Red Cedar is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As such, you will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and will work closely with leadership in supporting the organization.
This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas : employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Employee Relations :
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
- Maintain positive relationships with employees to promote a harmonious work environment
Performance Management :
- Assist in the development and implementation of performance evaluation processes
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related issues
- Assist in identifying training and development needs within the organization
Policy Implementation :
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures
Payroll Management & Processing :
- Manage bi-weekly payroll cycles, ensuring accurate and timely payment for both full-time employees and contractors
- Make adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses and commission
- Enter payroll changes accurately into the payroll system
Compliance and Reporting :
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Prepare and maintain accurate HR records and reports
- Assist in the preparation of affirmative action plans and other compliance-related documentation
Employee Engagement :
- Support leadership in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives
- Organize and participate in employee events and activities
- Promote a positive organizational culture
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in an HR Generalist Role
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong mathematical and data entry skills to process pay
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite
Schedule :
- Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours; 9 am - 5 pm
- Occasional weekend work may be required
Job Type :
Full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week

Ability to Commute / Relocate :
Charlotte, NC : Ability to reliably commute or willingness to relocate before starting work (required).

Work Environment :
Office-based environment with a business casual dress code. Standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, are used in this role.
