Job Responsibilities
Reconcile periodic, quarter, and annual payroll tax withholding data
Communicate amendment needs with ADP & monitor to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Monitor & assign as needed employee’s state and local tax elections
Work with ADP as needed to set up new tax IDs for new state and local jurisdictions
Process W-2 corrections as needed & ensure accurate and timely filing
Ensure compliance for timely and accurate reporting of all payroll taxes.
Track refunds based on amendments by ADP
Create manual payments to correct payments from past pay periods
Maintain changes in unemployment rates in ADP Smart Compliance & in Workday
Maintain states entity information on ADP Smart Compliance
Fulfill Tax Reporting Requests
Respond to federal and state tax and wage inquiries
Research & respond to employee inquiries regarding tax withholdings and W2s
Reconcile tax reporting and payments made throughout the calendar year to the W-2 file
Assist with analyzing merger, divestiture and acquisition activity for tax entity impacts and implementing resulting actions as needed
Assist with the reconciling of tax accounts with Payroll Tax Accounting personnel and ability to analyze and take corrective actions as necessary
Stay up to date with labor, tax, and payroll regulations
Assist with payroll processing & auditing as necessary
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience
Experience with payroll software systems such as ADP, Workday, etc.
Proficient with Excel (vlookup, pivot, etc.)
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, with a track record of successfully working with cross-functional business stakeholders
Excellent problem solving / judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Requirements
Experience processing Payroll in Workday
