Senior Catastrophe Analytics Developer
Description :
- Guy Carpenter has an opening in the Global Analytics Platforms team for an exciting role creating prototypes for new applications and approaches;
- reusable and scalable micro-services; building proof of concept applications; interacting with our development partners;
and using Python skills to advance our analytics data strategy.
This position can be located on a hybrid basis in our New York, Morristown, NJ or Philadelphia, PA offices.

We will count on you to :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client portfolio management needs and create solutions.
- Help answer colleague and external client questions about use of our solutions.
- Mentor and coach junior team members to help them improve their technical skills and reach their full potential.
What you need to have :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of catastrophe modeling or related experience.
- Thorough understanding of the insurance / reinsurance business, particularly property business.
- 5+ years of Python development experience. Familiar with software development components such as frontend, backend, application programming interfaces, etc.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $250,000.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.
Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
