n Tell us about the unit(s) nNumber of Beds : 21 nNumber of Staff : 35 nType of staff : nDay Shift : 6 RN’s, 2 tech’s, 1 secretary nNight Shift : 6 RN’s, 2 tech’s until 2300, 1 tech until 0300 nPatient Ratios : 3-4 : 1 nType of equipment : Bedside monitors, EKG, bladder scanner, lab draws, nEMR : MediTech n nMust have : nACLS and BLS nDrip titration skills (Diltiazem, Nitro, Heparin), These are top 3, others are titrated on the unit nBasic rhythm recognition n nList typical procedures performed on unit(s) : nLab draws, EKG, bladder scanning, bedside thoracentesis / paracentesis, blood product administration, straight cath, Foley insertion, removal and care, Central line care and removal, peritoneal dialysis n
