Overview

Chief Financial Officer – MEP Engineering and Design Services – Private Equity. Our client is a well-established, profitable lower middle market mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering and design services business serving the commercial and residential construction sectors. The company is backed by a leading private equity sponsor planning acquisitive and organic growth across the Southeast.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO and investors to drive growth, with an intimate understanding of operations and the ability to build out processes.
  • Lead a lean, high-performance finance and accounting function with a hands-on approach.
  • Upgrade KPIs and reporting capabilities to support data-driven decision making.
  • Provide strategic leadership on growth initiatives, including M&A and integration activities.
  • Manage percentage-of-completion accounting and ensure accurate project revenue recognition.
  • Disclose and present financial performance to stakeholders; support ERP implementations and related system enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a growth-focused engineering and construction services platform with a strategic, analytic, and operational mindset.
  • Strong strategic thinker with a coach-like management style.
  • Proven experience driving M&A growth strategies.
  • Experience leading ERP implementations and improving financial systems and reporting.
