Talent Depot is partnering with a leading healthcare firm to find a highly skilled Senior Design Construction Manager in Napa California to oversee a healthcare facility project.
The Sr. Design Construction Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning design and construction of healthcarespecific facilities projects.
This role requires extensive expertise in construction management particularly within healthcare settings and involves managing endtoend project requirements including financial analysis compliance and team supervision.
The Sr. Design Construction Manager will ensure that projects are completed on time within budget and adhere to healthcare industry standards and regulatory compliance.
Essential Responsibilities :
Project and Cost Management :
- Maintain and analyze project cost data to ensure budget accuracy and costeffectiveness.
- Lead the development and management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for architectural and construction services including review scoring interview participation and recommendation for award.
Design and Preconstruction Coordination :
- Facilitate and lead design meetings collaborating with architectural construction and enduser teams to align on project goals and requirements.
- Conduct reviews of design documents to ensure quality constructability and compliance with standards and local agency regulations.
Construction Oversight and Compliance :
- Oversee all phases of construction ensuring adherence to safety compliance and quality standards.
- Review and approve architectural additional services construction change orders invoices and pay applications.
- Monitor construction procedures to maintain compliance and address any potential issues proactively.
Milestone Scheduling and Project Planning :
Develop and oversee pre construction and construction milestone schedules ensuring that project timelines are met and that all stakeholders are informed of progress.
Education : Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field -OR- an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience : Minimum of 7+ years of experience in construction management. 4+ years of healthcare-specific construction management experience.
3+ years of supervisory experience with a proven ability to lead project teams. Strong experience in analyzing and negotiating financial terms for architectural and construction proposals.
Skills and Competencies : Proficiency in construction project management software. Knowledge of healthcare construction standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Strong financial acumen for managing budgets, cost reviews, and financial analysis.
Leadership skills with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative work environment. Ideal Candidate Profile : Detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills.
