Do you enjoy a fast-paced environment, strategic planning and supporting doctors and clinical teams? The Operations Specialist supports dental and specialty dental clinics by responding to their requests for dental equipment and dental lab support to ensure that all requests are resolved.
The Operations Specialist uses data, tools and resources to make recommendations and support decisions on capital investments in dental equipment and facilities.
The Operations Specialist is responsible for finding incremental cost savings across various business lines of vendor spending.
Job Duties
Respond to clinic requests with a sense of urgency using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure clinics are operational at all times.
Analyze and report dental equipment and service spend.
Build relationships with labs to define formularies and for the best possible support and pricing.
Utilize procure to pay and accounting systems to analyze company spend with vendors for cost savings opportunities across business lines, recommend action and implement approved savings measures.
Onboard new acquisitions and ensure synergies are realized.
Support Procurement Specialist by assisting in the procure to pay platform and supply order process.
Support the Site Service Manager and Equipment Service Manager by scheduling vendors as needed, following up on tickets with vendors and clinical teams.
Execute capital projects and equipment replacements coordinating with the facilities manager and clinical teams to minimize any downtime.
Making sure all facility compliance is up to date including business licenses, registrations for x-ray and vehicles, backflow testing, labor law posters, etc.
Data analysis to make data driven decisions to optimize business efficiencies.
Identify areas of improvement within current procurement processes.
Contribute to various reports and financial projections, including CAPEX budgeting and operations forecasts and spend.
Support and lead projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
2 years Procurement and vendor management experience.
Proficient in Excel or Google suite of applications
Analytical and detail oriented with effective communication skills
Work Environment :
Normal office environment with the following demands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 70% of the time, occasionally moving about inside the office to access office equipment, meetings, etc.
Operates a computer 95% of the time with frequent communication with internal team
members and possible external vendors. May be required at times to lift items up to 25lbs and may be required to travel to satellite locations.
