A Brief Overview

The Operating Room professional is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and effective patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. They assist the surgical team by preparing the operating room, ensuring sterile conditions, managing surgical instruments, and monitoring the patient's condition throughout the operation. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork, and adherence to strict safety and infection control protocols to support optimal surgical outcomes.

Education Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing holding current New Jersey license Required
  • Bachelor's Degree BSN degree Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 1-3 years Minimum one-year current clinical experience Preferred
  • Licenses and Certifications

  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and / or Compact State Licensure Current NJ License Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support BLS through American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
  • National certification related to specialty area Upon Hire Preferred
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support May be required dependent on specialty area
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support May be required dependent on specialty area
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation May be required dependent on specialty area

  • What you will do

  • Delivers patient care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Care and Practice, Patient Bill of Rights and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.
  • Delivers patient care in accordance with specialty specific standards (e.g. Oncology Nurses Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses) as appropriate
  • Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the patient plan of care according to changing health care needs.
