We all see a good mix of medical patients and our specialties can be seen belowortho / neurovascular, cardio / pulmonary, Surgical patients are GI, urology, hysterectomies, ng Ratio 1 : 5-6 for nightsRatios may flex to 8 patients but RN will be paired with LPN for support in these instancesVariety of staff work on this unit and other Med / Surg units ( RNs, LPNs, Techs, etc).
Floating depends on need- typically float to other units once per week roughlyThere is no guarantee that holiday time off requests will be accepted as holidays are usually -19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline) : Not RequiredFlu Vaccine (Facility Guideline) : Required - Medical Exemptions Only
