Role : Contract Specialist (Temp)

Position Overview : The Certification Associate / Contract Specialist reports to the Business Development Department’s Operations Manager, or a designated manager and is responsible for reviewing applications for MWLBE certification.
Conducting desk audits of firms seeking certification as Minority, Woman Owned or Locally Based Business Enterprise (M / W / LBEs).
Job Description :
- Reviewing supporting documents including financial statements and financial records, corporate records, capital investments, work history of firm, personal and business income tax returns, equipment lists and purchase documents, resumes, etc.
- Conducting on-site interviews of firm's principals and assessing physical
- characteristics of business, etc.
- Preparing and justifying written eligibility recommendations to demonstrate why a
- company either meets or fails to meet eligibility standards
- Updating and maintaining electronic files through the Vendor Access System (VAS).
Specific Skills Required for Position :
1. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
and / or
2. Two years of full-time diverse experience in reviewing various documents including financial statements and financial records, corporate records, capital investments, certified payroll reports, work history of firm, personal and business income tax returns, equipment lists and purchase documents, resumes, etc.
