Position Description

Soccer is now hiring a full-time Senior Manager, Development Councils and Alumni Program. This position is an opportunity to help Soccer achieve ambitious multi-year goals and make an impact in the world of soccer in the United States through fundraising.

This position will lead the day-to-day campaign management, stewardship, and administration of the Champion Circles and Alumni Program.

This includes, but is not limited to renewals, appeals, acquisitions, acknowledgements, cultivation and stewardship. The Senior Manager of Development Councils and Alumni Program will work from the Soccer headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia and their primary responsibilities will be :

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the Development Councils campaign management, including but not limited to renewals, appeals / acquisitions, acknowledgement, cultivation and stewardship
  • Oversee and manage Alumni Relations campaign management, including but not limited to communications, events, cultivation and stewardship
  • Lead related travel and events strategy
  • Responsible for monthly reporting, tracking revenue and all benefits
  • Participation and support in high-access fan experiences, attend special events, and support new development initiatives
  • Collaborate cross departmentally in maintaining Sales Force, cataloguing relationships, participation and interests in Soccer development initiatives
  • Provide best-in-class customer service support, as necessary, for Soccer donors and fans
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for special events and programs including preparation and occasional on-site support
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience managing a successful and dynamic annual giving program for a complex organization
  • Experience with direct management of team members
  • Experience drafting appeals, acknowledgements, and revenue reports, and strategic plans
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication combined with a professional demeanor
  • Takes initiative with department and organizational goals in mind
  • Interest in working on a team with a collaborative team environment
  • Interest in fundraising and development

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous event support experience
  • Database management and experience with Salesforce
  • Passion for soccer
