Job Description

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products conform to specifications and dimensions. This position requires familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and involves inspecting Aerospace Honeycomb Seals used in turbines and other aircraft parts. Key inspections include weld integrity, open nods, final inspections (ICR), dimensional, and visual inspections.

Responsibilities

• Understand, follow, and execute Quality Policy, System Procedures, and Operations Manuals.
• Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.
• Use inspection planning tools and perform product audits.
• Assist Quality Engineers by performing dimensional and visual inspections of returned parts and gathering required documents for Corrective and Preventive Action (C & CA) procedures.
• Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Pass customer-required DQR classes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of statistical terms and techniques (SPC); plot data and recognize out-of-control conditions.
• Use measuring tools such as Calipers and Micrometers.
• Conduct Dimensional and Visual inspections.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hr.
