Position Overview :
A well- established and local manufacturing company seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic IT team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and a passion for leveraging AWS services to build scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Cloud Infrastructure Design and Management : Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AWS cloud infrastructure.
Develop and manage automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations.
- DevOps and CI / CD : Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines. Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.
- Monitoring and Optimization : Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
Identify and implement cost-saving measures and performance improvements.
- Security and Compliance : Ensure cloud infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements. Implement and manage security controls and best practices.
- Troubleshooting and Support : Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure and applications.
Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
Generate regular reports on system performance, costs, and security compliance.
Qualifications :
- Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS.
- Technical Skills : Proficient in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch. Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Expertise in DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes. Solid understanding of networking, security, and IAM best practices.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or AWS CloudWatch. Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or other relevant AWS certifications.
- Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes or ECS.
- Knowledge of database management and optimization.
