Position Overview :
Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated and board-certified (or board-eligible) Neurosurgeon to join our collaborative team at Mercy Health - The Neuroscience Institute. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a multidisciplinary environment within a hospital and outpatient setting, focusing on the diagnosis and management of neurosurgical conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We welcome both experienced and junior surgeons to apply. Fellowship training is welcomed but not required.
Job Summary :
- Cover busy ambulatory neurosurgery practice with large internal and external referral base.
- Cover Neurosurgery call at St. Vincent on an avg 1 : 4-week rotation.
- Mercy Health – St. Vincent Medical Center is a Level 1 trauma, comprehensive stroke center and Level II Pediatrics center.
- 75% Spine and 25% Cranial cases along with a broad range of pathologies.
- Neuroscience Clinical Faculty – neurology resident clinical and didactic education, multiple multidisciplinary conferences (neuro oncology, neurovascular, trauma), and grand rounds.

First call covered by APC and / or Resident in house 24 / 7.Fully staffed neurocritical care unit with fellowship-trained neuro intensivists.Multiple admitting services including trauma, medicine, and neurocritical care with neurosurgery service as the primary consulting.Dedicated neuroendovascular service provided by two experienced full-time interventional and stroke neurologists with fellow support.Outpatient PM&R and Pain Management services available, works cohesively with spine program.Inpatient Rehab available with sister hospital with employed physiatrists.24 / 7 EEG support available24 / 7 MRI services availableClinical research infrastructure support availableQualifications :
Board Certification / Eligibility in Neurosurgery.Strong academic and teaching skills with a desire to mentor and educate residents.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, staff, and a multidisciplinary care team.Compensation & Benefits :
