What does an Director of Marketing do?
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious marketing leader to join our business at this critical time of high growth.
Taking direction from the Global Marketing Director, but responsible for the Americas region you will develop and execute the brand and market plans to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue opportunities and ensure the Airport Dimensions and portfolio of brands are strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts.
This role requires a strategic thinker who will have a hands-on approach. We’re looking for someone with a deep understanding of branding principles and guardianship, creative development and with strong project and stakeholder management skills.
What You'll do?
Strategy development : Following the global marketing framework, implement a comprehensive marketing plan for the Americas region that that aligns with the company's global and regional business objectives and brand vision.
Brand management : Using global brand standards, lead regional brand management ensuring campaigns and assets are produced and remain relevant and engaging to key stakeholders, with all products, services and communications falling under the defined brand parameters.
Content management : Oversee the creation of compelling and effective copy and visual content to be used across multiple marketing channels for a B2B and B2C audience.
Leadership : Working closely with the Global Marketing Director, provide regional leadership, mentoring, and day to day oversight of direct reports.
Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture amongst the regional marketing team and key stakeholders.
Matric reporting structure : Communicate and operate effectively in a matrix structure.
Research and analytics : Analyze and report the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and align with the global marketing team to ensure that we can determine best practice.
Leverage guest feedback to provide actionable recommendations and updates, ensuring marketing activities resonate with our regional audiences as well as conduct regular reviews of competitor activities to stay informed on industry trends and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Budget management : Working closely with the Global Marketing Director, develop and manage the marketing budget for the region.
Optimize spending to maximize ROI.
What You'll Need?
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role preferably within the travel, hospitality, or luxury services industries
- Self-driven and constantly striving to improve marketing and brand position by collaborating positively to deliver objectives and strategies
- Ability to manage a varied workload and influence and manage peers and senior stakeholders
- Experience working within a matrix reporting structure
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing plans and campaigns
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing budgets and optimizing marketing spend
- Knowledge of the US travel market and industry trends
- Spanish language skills desirable but not essential
