JOB DETAILS :
The RN Infusion functions under the direction of the Manager Infusion Therapy or other designated leader. The RNInfusion demonstrates knowledge, competency, and clinical experience in infusion therapy techniques, including butnot limited to implanted ports, peripheral and central venous catheters, PICC lines and non-chemo / immunotherapies.
This individual is responsible for providing safe patient care with an understanding and awareness of age appropriateand culturally aware needs.
The RN Infusion addresses the patient / family biological, emotional, developmental,psychosocial and education needs and is responsible for delivery of patient care in complex situations.
The RNInfusion can independently perform job functions and is responsible for self-development activities. RN will work in anoutpatient infusion center though alternate settings could occur.
This role could progress toward achieving Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Competency and in so doing wouldprogress to the RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician role.
It is expected that all RNs are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the GeorgiaProfessional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by theAmerican Nurses Association.
As a member of the patient services team, it is expected that the individual upholds thevoice of the patient, system policies and procedures while supporting service excellence goals.
REQUIREMENTS :
BLS, SSN Card, Driver's license and GA or Compact License must be on file to submitInfusion experience (chemotherapy competent preferred)
