MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCIES
This position will be responsible for both short and long-term planning for STAAR Surgical. This position will be responsible for all FP&A activities and ad-hoc projects as detailed below.
1. Works with management on annual plan and 5-year strategic plan.
2. Uploads financials into Host Analytics, reconcile schedules at month and quarter end.
3. Develops meaningful reports for Management Reviews.
4. Participates in revenue forecasting and expense forecasting.
5. Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget through monthly variance analysis and the provision of key explanations for business and financial results.
6. Compiles and reports on company performance metrics (weekly, monthly, and quarterly report packages and presentations).
7. Responsible for learning new concepts and tasks quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadline requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
8. Ensures strong attention to details and effective multitasking.
9. Assists with upgrades to Host analytics software and functionality.
10. Participates in driving improvements to current processes and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
11. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education / experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis and accounting (including experience with revenue, margin and spending analyses)
- Experience with ERP / CRM software packages, ie NetSuite Financials and / or Host Analytics
SKILLS
- Good understanding and application of financial principles, concepts, practices and standards
- Expertise with MS Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data from multiple sources
- Independent, detail oriented and diligent in self-review of work product
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player
Pay range : $90-$130k - Final compensation / salary will depend on experience.
