Description

Ohel Children's Home and Family Services is seeking dedicated and responsible staff to work with individuals who have developmental and / or intellectual disabilities living in supportive and loving residential settings in Brooklyn, Queens, Lower East Side, Far Rockaway and Long Island.

Shifts available include Day, evening and overnights. Substitute positions available.

Responsibilities include :

  • Supporting individuals with their activities of daily living
  • Accompanying individuals to medical appointments
  • Assisting with preparing and serving meals
  • Providing companionship while engaging in productive activities which help to foster independence and community engagement

Requirements :

  • Motivated candidate with good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate to individuals promoting meaningful outcomes
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to speak and write English
  • Valid NY or NJ driver's license for some positions
