Traveling Safety Manager (Construction)

Overview

Traveling Safety Manager (Construction) at Dennis Group. This role involves developing, managing, and implementing a Health and Safety Program for Dennis Group's vertical, industrial construction projects. The safety professional is responsible for the safety practices of all personnel on projects and must have knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management, accident investigation, and construction safety training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing health and safety programs.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and coordinating health and safety training and activities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws and current safety regulations.
• Compile incident rate data on injuries and accidents.
• Prepare and deliver safety toolbox talks and training topics for contractors.
• Prepare, implement, and enforce Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).
• Attend and prepare safety actions for pre-construction conferences, pre-work meetings, inspections, and periodic in-progress project meetings.
• Conduct and document Jobsite Safety Observations.
• Review subcontractor safety pre-qualification submittals.
• Collaborate with Construction Managers and Senior Safety Managers to establish job site safety procedures and policies during mobilization and throughout the project.
• May serve as full-time on-site safety coordinator for projects as required.
• Review safety programs with client representatives and governmental agencies.
• Research construction safety best practices and support talent development within the organization.
• Educate and provide training and support to Dennis Group personnel on accident / injury prevention procedures; provide coaching and mentoring as directed.
