Assistant Superintendent
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced K-12 Assistant Superintendent in the Houston area. This role will report directly to the Superintendent and will assist in overseeing various aspects of construction projects within the K-12 sector.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
Responsibilities :
- Support the Superintendent in project management responsibilities including :
- Project start-up and mobilization.
- Drafting Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Posting of all drawings.
- Maintaining As-Built documentation.
- Scheduling tasks and ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Organizing and coordinating subcontractors.
- Ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- Implementing and monitoring quality control measures.
- Organizing files, plans, and shop drawings.
- Assist in overseeing punch list completion to ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Enforce safety guidelines to maintain a safe jobsite environment for all personnel.
- Support the Superintendent in daily reporting activities, providing updates on project progress and challenges.
- Assist in facilitating Owner-Architect-Contractor (O.A.C.) meetings as needed.
- Undertake other tasks as assigned to support project success and timely completion.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction field, with exposure to K-12 projects required.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- OSHA 30 Certification
