About The Position

The Sonographer coordinates and performs a wide variety of quality diagnostic studies in the specialty of Ultrasound and may assist in performance of procedures. The Sonographer must possess and demonstrate knowledge of the following : anatomy / physiology, sonographic physics and instrumentation, relevant infection control practices, safe patient transfer and positioning techniques, and ethical and professional conduct. The incumbent is responsible for the operation of a variety of equipment used to demonstrate and document the anatomy. The Sonographer ensures accurate documentation, effective communications and demonstrates knowledge of age-appropriate criteria when working with all patients, which include high risk and critically ill patients. Responsible for accurate charge capture.

• Population served includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatrics.
• This position will work days, evenings and / or nights and weekends.
