Job Summary : We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills to spearhead the design of innovative mobile solutions that align with our clients' unique needs.

In this pivotal role, you will take charge of projects from inception to completion, encompassing everything from conceptualization and design to production drawings and precise equipment specifications for our cutting-edge specialty vehicles.

Collaborating closely with a dedicated team of carpenters and fabricators, your role will ensure that projects meet or exceed all customer requirements and expectations.

Responsibilities and Duties :

  • Create detailed production drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Guarantee meticulous adherence to specifications, codes, and any specific customer requisites.
  • Oversee installations and operations to ensure strict alignment with customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate a solid foundation in general construction principles, encompassing plumbing design, lighting design, HVAC design, and structural design.
  • Thrive in a highly communicative environment, adept at effectively interacting with both internal teams and customers.
  • Foster production excellence through the creation of production drawings, utilizing tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Qualifications and Skills :

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic foundation.
  • Showcase proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD and SolidWorks, reflecting your hands-on experience and mastery of these tools.

Farber has a team of 170 full-time employees utilizing the latest technology to design and build custom specialty vehicles.

All vehicles are custom designed by a team of electrical and mechanical engineers and manufactured to meet the customer’s unique needs.

AutoCad and SolidWorks computer aided design software is used to design interiors as well as body shells. Farber Specialty Vehicles custom manufactures on many different platforms including Freightliner, International, Ford, Prevost and Sprinter.

A broad scope of work includes emergency management, medical, laboratories and educational vehicles. Quality is assured with ISO certification.
